In my newest creation, "Birds of the Mythical Woods," part of the enchanting "Myths" series, I delve into the ethereal realm where nature and folklore intertwine. This triptych brings to life an array of birds set in a fantastical forest, each bird meticulously drawn from the intricate patterns found in ancient Ukrainian embroidered towels, known as 'rushnyky'.
The paintings capture the essence of these traditional motifs, transforming them into living, breathing entities that inhabit an otherworldly landscape. The birds, each distinct in its form and symbolism, represent not just the beauty and diversity of nature, but also embody the cultural heritage and mystical tales passed down through generations in Ukrainian folklore.
Set against the backdrop of a dreamlike forest, the birds seem to flutter and dance among the trees, creating a symphony of color and pattern that is both whimsical and profound. Each panel of the triptych is a testament to the enduring power of myths and the role they play in our understanding of the world.

ABOUT ARTIST: Tetiana Pchelnykova is a professional mixed media
figurative and conceptual artist based in Kyiv,Ukraine. She has been a full-time artist since 2016.
She explore the profound role of women in society through her paintings. The art establishes a dialogue between past and present, tradition and innovation, reflecting the strength and wisdom of women. She engage with philosophical
systems like Existentialism and Phenomenology, offering deep insights into the modern world .
