"Elaborated Floral" is an abstract landscape painting featuring hues of red, green, orange and blue.
Amanda Joy Browns is inspired by the works of Eva Hesse, Alberto Giacometti, Egon Schile, Paul Klee, Edgar Degas, Julie Mehretu, Jackson Pollock, James Ensor and Matthew Radford.
Amanda Joy Brown works out of her home studio in Nashville, TN. Brown earned her MFA in the painting program at the Savannah College of Art and Design and has continued on to exhibit internationally in southern France and around the US. She has attended residencies at SCAD Lacoste and Vermont Studio Center and was a part of Ground Floor Gallery and Studios for several years. Her work is included in private and public collections in several countries such as Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, and Monaco. Brown's work explores color, gesture, and texture. The layers of paint in her compositions embrace pattern and line, direct application, and drip techniques, fusing elements of direct observation and abstraction.
Amanda Joy-Brown is a visual artist based in Nashville, TN. She received her MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design and has exhibited in the US and around the world.
