About the Item

Come you and me pleasure is an original oil painting on canvas, realized in 2019 by the emerging Russian artist, Anastasia Kurakina. Signed and dated in black ink on the back. This original painting seems to be an Epicurean invitation to the "Carpe Diem", an invitation to a dionysiac dance with feline figures. A superb artwork, has some assonances with la Dance by Matisse, exalts the contrast of colors on a lemon yellow background and the freshness of the Kurakina's sign with her typical elongated figures. At present, she lives and works in Rome. Her psychologically analytical works are a kind of art fables. A simple image or object from life transforms in a metaphora of life itself in her paintings. Her portraits and graphic works are philosophical essence of visible and seeming reality.
