'Innocent Love' is a masterfully painted oil on panel, that features a young topless woman with a tattoo on her arm that read "kiss my ass". She is draped in a blanket and holding a fish and knife. The painting itself is 16 x 12.5 inches. Condition excellent. Artist signed, titled, dated Verso. Painted by Okada in 2018. Proudly presented by Andra Norris Gallery in Burlingame, CA. Chikako Okada’s autobiographical oil paintings, bridge traditional realism with magical realism and surrealism. She is inspired by European Masters, Frida Khalo, and the American Surrealists. Okada uniquely addresses questions of the human condition through her meticulously detailed, and patterned paintings. They are mesmerizing, rich in symbolism, and reference power, vulnerability, sadness, longing, and desire.
