Claudio Pinto
"The Power" Compelling, Authoritative Painting of Three Figures

About the Item

Born in 1954 in São Paulo, Brazil, Claudio began his artistic life early. At 4 years old, he already began to model small clay animals with great ease and that was when his uncle Bernardo Cid, main artistic inspiration, noticed a different gift in the family. Also an artist, Bernardo started to encourage Claudio to discover his art within and ended up being one of the key drivers of his talent. Self-taught at age 11, Claudio started to sell his own paintings. And since then continued painting, doing illustration, always in the art area. He later graduated in industrial design on Mackenzie in São Paulo, further perfecting his talent. His potential size made the artist head to Paris where he would find his artistic language. Already having talent recognized by the Fall of the Paris Show, one of the most important and renowned in Europe, he began to make several shows and taking its first steps in the artistic career. His artistic language we know today emerged in 1997 when in Paris, in one of his exhibitions, had the opportunity to go into a dressing room for actors of the Opera Garnier, and became fascinated by the scenery. With the images in the head and thousands of drawings at the same time coming, Claudio gave life to what he calls "The Theatre of Life": A series of characters representing the routine feelings, but are nothing more than just robes and a mask. They are a language and social representation of all possible sensations that a person can collect during his life, whether sad or happy. With a humorous play of colors and striking characters, his paintings provoke different feelings in every person who admires them. Revitalizing memories, bringing joy and creating a unique environment. This piece is framed. The unframed dimensions are 58.75 × 39.25 inches.
