His paintings are focused on depicting a celebratory narrative and representation of people of African descent. In allowing the intricacies of his subject's appearance, poses, and symbolic identity to be the sole focus, he emphasizes drawing attention to the distinctive celebration of people of color by addressing their image, status, and relevance in contemporary culture.
