About the Item
L'amour et Lumiere is a recently completed original oil painting by Fidan Kim, one that contains an incredible amount of detail and imagery. There is a surreal aspect to Ms. Kim’s work which is beautifully illustrated in this particular painting. Time seems to stand still, and objects have no gravity within the environment and float around the couple who are only focused on each other.
The painting is actually being delivered to the gallery tomorrow and we have clients waiting to see as it has been well anticipated. The color pallet and use of light are extraordinary, the main couple, so in love they are actually melting into each other.
Set within a full cityscape, you can see the lives of other people in the windows of neighboring buildings. I look for paintings with this level of detail but they are difficult to find. I want to be able to view a painting for a very long time and continue to see more and more details and aspects that continue long after it is purchased. This is just such a work.
