this oil painting entitled "Nick Takes a picture as family tradition is passed from mother to son" dates from 1997.
It depicts a mother handing her son an accordion. My friend who knew the family well wanted to take pictures at a zydeco Dance.
the mother was playing and my friend wanted to take a picture of the mother handing the accordion to her son who was also going to
play that evening. Instead, the band took a break in between sets. So we had to stage a photo. I tried to remember the moment by
painting a picture of it.
Painted in oil.
