Francois Batet was born in 1923 in Barcelona, Spain. He studied painting at the School of San Jordi (Beaux-Arts) and also at Tarrega Academy. When he lived in Madrid he studied masters like Goya and Valasquez. He then moved to Paris and studied famous French impressionistic painters. He has lived and worked in France since 1950. Batet's classic School of Paris style recalls the spirit of Paris in the 1920s and 1930's. In addition to being a master printmaker, he has illustrated over 100 books.
Francois Batet has exhibited throughout the world including France, U.S.A., Japan, Belgium, Germany, England, Korea, Australia, and South Africa.

Francois Batet
Francois Batet was born in 1923 in Barcelona, Spain. He studied painting at the School of San Jordi (Beaux-Arts) and also at Tarrega Academy.
