"Wrapped Up" is a framed hand-embellished giclée print by George Charriez, depicting a seated figure holding a burning cigar and distinguished cane. The figure's face and head have are obscured, wrapped entirely in a striped silk scarf and evoking a sense of mystery.
This giclée is part of a limited edition printing, numbered 4 of 25.
This piece has been finished in a scooped silver floater frame with a whitewashed woodgrain finish along the frame's sides and interior. Pricing includes the pictured frame. Unframed dimensions are 50 x 40 inches.
About the artist: Inspired by his artistic family, bustling surroundings, and love of athleticism, George Charriez has been drawing and painting since he was a young boy. Charriez has studied his artistic pursuits at Savannah College of Art & Design as well as the Pratt Institute. The artist's work as an illustrator and industrial designer in NYC furthered his proficiency in detailed painting techniques and continues to inform his artistic career.
Through his intricate paintings, Charriez illustrates modern perceptions of the human condition, and he paints to inspire dialogue with his artistic commentary. Connecting with the viewer is key, and he often chooses figures that are easily relatable in contemporary society.
George Charriez' paintings continue to be exhibited in multiple art fairs, both nationally in the US and internationally. He paints every day and continues to create new imagery and explore deep ideas in his Atlanta, Georgia studio.
