Georges Girardot was trained by the artist Albert Maignan in Paris. He was a member of the Society Of French Painters from 1883 and principally showed genre scenes at the salon. He was awarded several medals for his works. The pictures shown here show a pre-delictation the artist had for scenes of village life.

Georges-Marie-Julien Girardot was a French painter who was born in 1856. He was trained by the artist Albert Maignan in Paris. Girardot was a member of the Society of French painters from 1883 onward and principally showed genre scenes at the Salon. He was awarded several medals for his works.
