Button On Coat is an original oil on canvas realized by Gianluigi Mattia in 1968.
Hand-signed and dated on the higher margin.
Includes frame: 43 x 2.5 x 49 cm
Gianluigi Mattia In 1963 he moved to Rome to work as an assistant with the scenographer Ezio Frigerio, continuing in parallel his activity as a painter. In 1965 he was invited to the Paris Biennale. In 1967 he began his teaching career teaching first decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and finally at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. [2] The personal exhibition held at the Galleria Giulia in Rome in 1974 consecrates him as one of the Italian artists of the 20th century, [3] from that moment his exhibitions will multiply in Italy and Europe. In the same year he will be present at the "Italienische Realisten 1945-1974" in Berlin and at the XXVIII biennial in Milan.
