Very beautiful particular work on canvas realized by the Italian artist Gino Lombardi in the half of the XX Century. The work depicts a still life with a metaphysical compositions: several different objects are presented together with a desolated landscape on the background. With this work Gino Lombardi participated to the VI Quadriennale of Rome in 1951. With the VI edition of 1951, the Rome National Quadrennial of Art returned to its historic location, Palazzo delle Esposizioni in via Nazionale in Rome, after which, in 1948, it had moved to the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Valle Giulia. The exhibition opened on 18 December 1951 and lasted until April 1952. The exhibitors were selected by an "Invitation Commission" made up entirely of artists and chaired by the painter Carlo Carrà.
