    "AMAZONS", circa 1937 by Isobel Françoise Rodmell (1899–1972) French Huge 1930's Cubist Surrealist scene titled "Amazons" oil on canvas by Isobel Francoise Rodmell. Large exhibition scale example of the artists work who was a prominent figure during the movement along with Picasso in the late 1930's. The work is offered to the market for the first time after being kept by Rodmell and has been with her descendents since. The painting would benefit from a professional reline and restoration. Unframed, signed Measurements: 57" x 41.5" unframed approx Provenance: the artist and thence by descent Note: Rodmell's fantastical work was collected and promoted by famed inter-war gallerist Lucy Wertheim.
