"Ohne Titel (Untitled, 1987)" is an Original Oil on Paper. The work is pencil-signed and dated by the artist. The image size is 21 x 15 in. and the full size is 23 x 17 in. The piece has the original tags from previous art brokers/auction houses (please see photos). Heinrich Nicolaus is known for his expressive depictions of surreal characters. In this untitled piece, Nicolaus portrays an abstracted figure with bent knees holding a cone-shaped object. The character is predominantly rendered in rough, black brushstrokes with the exception of the head, legs and the mysterious object. The piece is mounted to float within it's silver frame.
