About the Item
“I feel divided 16” originated in a “back and front” series of forty self-portraits where the artist shows multiple interpretations of herself with
different mind states over a longer period of time during the day.
This series proposes a liberation from normal physiognomic form, an escape from traditional portraiture and focuses on the deconstruction of volume (shape) with the help of vibrant chromatic arrangements.
This painting has become an ambiguous and untraditional portrait in which the artist uses layers of oil and spray paints to create a figurative image made up mainly of dominant cool colors.
