About the Artist:
Jim Molloy is a studio and plein air painter.
"I like to try to find and capture the beauty and simplicity of the world around us, and to express that through my work. If my paintings can provide someone with a place to escape from their everyday life, I have succeeded."
Jim has earned numerous awards for his work including awards adjudicated by prestigious judges Peter Trippi of Fine Arts Connoisseur, Lilly Wei of Art in America and ARTNews and by noted painter April Gornik. Jim’s work has been on display in exhibitions, galleries and museums on Long Island, in Manhattan, Connecticut, Maryland, Florida, and in the Netherlands. His work is in private collections around the world, and is part of the permanent collection of Stony Brook University Hospital.
