About the Item

Acrylic paint on canvas Signed Unique work Joanna Flatau was born in Varsaw, Poland. She graduated from Varsaw History of Arts University and from the Fine Arts Varsaw Academy in 1969. She has lived and worked in Paris since 1971, as a graphist and then as a painter. She was selected by the Modern Art Museum in Paris to exhibit in 1982 in the exhibition “Works on paper”. Since then, she exhibited in many solo shows in Europe (France, Poland, England, Switzerland) and in fairs in Paris like the Biennale internationale du pastel, the Salon de Montrouge, the Salon de Mai or the Salon Comparaison at the Grand Palais in Paris. The Fonds national d’art contemporain bought some of her pastels. She was exhibited many times by Cérès Franco in the “L’oeil de Boeuf” Gallery in Paris and in Cérès Franco private collection in Montolieu, as well as in “Idées d’artistes” Gallery in Paris and abroad. In 2008, she exhibited in Paris at the Grand Palais, at the IMA (Institut de Monde Arabe) and in Claire Corcia Gallery since then.
