Lilya Volskaya
From the life of birds

2024

About the Item

What is the basis for the exclusivity of this landscape? Firstly, the patterns! They can be used in textiles, ceramics, jewelry. Secondly, the color! A very interesting combination. Verdigris (from the French "vert de gris") or yar-copperhead is a beautiful blue-green shade. It is better known as patina, which forms on copper or bronze surfaces due to the oxidation of metals. It is this color that gives a characteristic bluish-green hue to the Statue of Liberty and many other copper ornaments and architectural elements. It is difficult to save it, but it is possible in my painting. The third: this is an unexpected combination with red shades. I don't get out of the cold range. And only ochre and orange appear on the birds themselves. This is the fourth element of focus and attraction. A conversation! One bird is important and serious. And the second one is cheerful, young and perky. The dialogue between them is very interesting. And you?
