Mandii Pope
What Would You Do if You Only Had One Day #3- butterfly contemporary realism

2023

About the Item

This original painting by Mandii Pope takes a unique painterly approach to the butterfly motif. Pope here contrasts the traditional painterly portrayal of the butterfly against a modern and contemporary background. She utilises a range of earth tones to portray a canvas reflecting the natural world. Similarly, Pope uses of negative space in the background to suspend the butterfly within the canvas. The butterfly portrayed remains in-between reality and an abstracted world. The colour of this piece adds a pop to any setting and creates an uplifting ambience. This painting is made with acrylic and spray paint on canvas, is hand signed by the artist and is ready to be displayed.
