The portrait of a young lady with a colorful background is an intimate connecction between her spiritual approach to Nature This artwork has an exquisite technique of blending subtle hues, a color combination on a heavy impastos, spontaneous brush strokes over Arches watercolor paper. Palette knife, brushes, a satin finish extender gels, help to create this genuine and unique art gem. Its rendering and color balance, in the background enhances her delicate semblance. Mario was born in La Paz, Bolivia, he lived in Sao Paulo-Brazil as a teenager. During his art career, he is exhibiting his artwork in museums, art galleries and art events in many countries. He won several local and international awards. His bibliography includes newspaper articles, TV interviews and art magazines reviews. One of is awards, was to represent Brazil in two international art events, the XIII and XIV International Biennial of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Some of is public artworks, could be seen at the murals located at the building of Graham Library and the bus shelter program in E. Los Angeles, CA., commissioned by the City of Los Angeles, CA. Other of his public artwork is the mural for the Art Corridor Program in San Fernando Valley, CA., this art project was commissioned by the Valley S. Regional Arts Council, N. Hollywood, CA. His artwork research includes the project " Art for the blind" a tactile art learning process, directed to the impaired and blind persons to criate their own artworks based in their tactile sense. This project was selected to represent Brazil in the XIII Intenational Biennial of Sao Paulo-Brazil. Nature and pollution, was a theme for the artist to research in the waters of polluted "Tiete" river, which runs across the city of Sao Paulo- Brazil. Three large canvases were submerged into the river for a couple of days to collect river debris, after this action was done, the canvases were re-used to perform an artwork. This project was selected by the Biennial Art Council as "Catastrophic Art" and represented Brazil in the XIV Biennial International of Sao Paulo-Brazil. The Amazon river and the Andes mountains in S. America have been the artist inspiration.
