This introspective scene depicts "The Night Watch" by Rembrandt hanging on a museum wall with two onlookers gazing pensively upon it. The Rembrandt painting is partially obscured by semi-opaque streaks of color. This piece is executed in acrylic on canvas and measures 29" x 58".
It comes ready to hang in a white floating frame measuring 31.5" x 60.5".
About the Artist:
Pep Suari, from Barcelona, Spain, captures the intense light of the Mediterranean in his works. Even in his interior scenes, his color is luminous and captivating. From the beginning to the end, the colors are interrelated, resulting in an image subtle yet explicit. Explosion of intense color is his means of expression, and interpretation emerges from this chaos and abyss. Suari’s paintings aim to combine the abstract and figurative world without surrendering to one or the other. He has not followed the ultramodern tendencies; rather, he has followed what he believes to be his own way.
Suari’s expressionistic style undraws his figures, granting them certain dynamics. His work diverges from the established norms.
