Highlands of Arcinazzo is an original modern artwork realized in the 1920s by the Italian artist Edoardo Tani. Original oil painting on canvas. Hand-signed by the artist on the lower left corner. Quite good conditions: some small falls of color and very small flaws of humidity. Highlands is an original modern artwork depicting Arcinazzo Romano, an Italian town near Rome. The painting is very fresh and the brush strokes are impressive and rapid. The nature is greening and, on the background we can see an empty colored and light horizon with the hills of the mountains. The work has been realized by Edoardo Tani (Tivoli, 1880 - Rome, 1948) an Italian painter, museologist and watercolorist. From Tivoli he moved to Rome, to attend the Academy of Fine Arts. Under the sea Series. Nº 4. Fantasy underwater landscape. Oil on paper, (H) 50 x (W) 40 x (D) 0,1 cm. Author: Úbeda. The sheets that make up this project evoke a dreamlike world of seabeds. The painter submerges landscapes, forests, materials and terrestrial objects under the cold and silent ocean currents. A feeling of weightlessness dominates the viewer, while the moon floats between anemones, sea urchins and posidonia forests. The blue-green darkness is broken up with nuclei and horizons of light, contrasting with the ambiguous and mysterious atmosphere of the compositions. TECHNIQUE The work has been carried out with an innovative technique, where the fluidized oil is transformed into an undulating sea, to create impossible shapes on paper, which are later outlined by the airbrush, the palette knife and the brush.
