Two Face Abstract on Wrapper of Interview Magazine in Acrylic on Paper
Lively abstracted portrait by Ricardo de Silva (Brazilian, 20th Century). A face is divided in two parts, right down the middle. One pard is blue, as if in heavy shadow, whereas the other half is pink and white. This piece is executed on the paper shipping wrapping for Interview Magazine.

From a collection of Ricardo de Silva's work and memorabilia. Ricardo DeSilva was born in Brazil and grew up in Los Angeles. He was a gallery owner, first in Santa Barbara in the 1960's and 70's, then in San Jose in the 1980's. He was dedicated to promoting the work of talented upcoming artists, including Kogyo and Hasui Kiyochika, Robert Frame, Jim Stuckenberg, Alice Robertson Carr, Deborah Eve Alastra, Russell Kelly, and Diana Mark.
