A beautiful impressionist oil on canvas board by Zlatan Pilipovic depicting a lady reading in the artist's studio with a portrait on an easel. The work is very well painted with a wonderful dappled light which is typical of the artist. A leading example of the work of this sought after contemporary artist. Presented in a painted wood frame. Artist: Zlatan Pilipovic (Bosnian, b. 1958) Title: Lady in Artist's Studio Medium: Oil on canvas board Size: 14.5 x 18.5 inches (37 x 47 cm) including the frame Zlatan Pilipovic studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Sarajevo. His career took off in 2001, when he launched a four-person show at the Richmond Hill Gallery. Since then he has developed an international reputation, and numbers Barclays Bank among his patrons. Now based in London, Zlatan continues to be faithful to Impressionism, though his deft contra-jour light technique makes him feel like a very modern artist.
