Ilana Bloch
Santa Monica Lights

About

As formal element rhythmic patterns brings structural organization to the painting. An atmospheric light quality of shifting from day to night creates the movement of the Pacific Coast Highway. Ilana Bloch is a well-regarded artist, teacher, juror and active member of the Los Angeles art community. Born in Prague and raised Israel, Ilana’s family moved to L.A. when she was twelve years old. Her artistry was fueled by the desire to assimilate vastly diverse cultural influences and sensibilities, laying the foundation for her individual style of painting and mixed media work. Ilana received her BFA in Fine Art from California State University, Northridge and has over 30 years of experience as a teacher and professional artist. Her work is exhibited in galleries and cultural art centers throughout Los Angeles. Her paintings are held in both private and corporate collections and can be found in distinguished art publications.
