This collage features portraits of different famous people cut out of vintage magazines, an aesthetic that mimics the 1970s. According to the Tate Gallery, "The term collage derives from the French term papiers collés (or découpage), used to describe techniques of pasting paper cut-outs onto various surfaces. It was first used as an artists’ technique in the early twentieth century. Collage can also include other media such as painting and drawing, and contain three-dimensional elements."
Bernard Nacion is a creative whose imaginative compositions take many different shapes. He guest starred on the Los Angeles Public-access television show "Let's Paint", which was started in 2002 by John Kilduff. He also worked in the art department for films including The House of Yes (1997) and A Dangerous Woman (1993). His subjects range from surrealist scenes to portraits and cartoon-styled animations.
