Interior courtyard scene by Santa Cruz, California artist Betsy J. Miller (American, b. 1956). This piece is a part of the artist's series of "Site Portraits." An arched doorway in a dark wall is illuminated by the interior space behind it. Bold pinks and reds contrast nicely with rich dark blues. A flame can be seen above the blue wall - the source of illumination for the courtyard.
Initialed and dated in the lower right corner ("BJM 89")

Presented in an aluminum frame with a light grey mat.
