Rachel Personett
"Fenske's Fireplace" contemporary realist oil painting, warm winter tuscan vibes

2016

About the Item

An oil painting of an interior - a fireplace in action. Flames blaze and cast smoke upwards. A red wall meets a cream painted wall, which meets a black chimney. The fireplace is lined with red bricks. Fire pokers, a cast iron pan, and metal grates can be found beside. Personett painted this fireplace from life, in the home of artist, Ben Fenske. The painting is signed "Personett" on the lower right corner, and again on the back of the panel, with the painting dated December 24th, 2016. Framed in a traditional-style black stock frame with gold trim (see pictures). Artist Bio Rachel Personett was born in Hawaii, but raised in Colorado. Being the daughter of a pilot she has always traveled extensively. She has studied part time at the Savannah College of Art and Design, The Angel Academy of Art, and finally settled on the Florence Academy of Art, graduating in 2015. In January 2016 she apprenticed the painter Odd Nerdrum in Norway for eight months. Rachel Personett works strictly from life, and enjoys the challenged of painting the ephemeral. Working from life provides the opportunity to travel around the world painting the ever changing people and landscapes.
