About the Item

Double-sided mid century watercolor of Pleasure Point Cove, Monterey Bay by listed artist Doris Ann Warner (American, 1925-2010). On verso is a beautiful botanical watercolor study. Signed "Warner" lower right. Unframed. Image, 15"H x 22"W. Warner first achieved recognition as an Abstract Expressionist painter, but was primarily known for stone carving, as well as abstract female figures. She studied at the University of California, Santa Cruz as well as Pietrasanta, Italy with Professor Pasquale Martini in 1988.
