The composition centers on a small stucco building with arched windows and a tall chimney, flanked by greenhouse structures with gray and ochre rooftops. In the foreground, lush plantings in vivid greens and yellows frame the architecture, while the background trees and pale blue sky evoke the distinctive California light.

Jacque France is an artist painting in the impressionist style living in La Grange, west suburban of the Great Chicago Area. France paints landscapes, still life, pets, and portraits. The French impressionists have been the primary influence in her work and she teams up with her husband annually to paint and attend European workshops where she has expanded her repertoire. She frequently attend workshops at the Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona and make painting trips around the US and Canada. Her work hangs in private and corporate collections throughout the country.
