Drawer, painter, illustrator. Laura Zuccheri is a professional illustrator and started her career in 1992 as a comics author. In 1993 she started her collaboration with Ken Parker Magazine, which was founded by Giancarlo Berardi and Ivo Malazzi, and later became part of the Sergio Bonelli Editore publishing house.
It was during this experience that the artist discovered the works of some of the most important American illustrators of the nineteenth and twentieth century, among which Reminghton, Russell, Rockwell, Layendecker, Sargent, Wyeth, who sparked her interest for painting. Among the Russian masters, her attention was caught by Repin, Shishkin, Serov, Aivazovsky, Kramskoi, whereas her European inspirations were Larsoon, Sorolla, and Boldini among others. Devoted mainly to painting landscapes, the artist is currently experimenting with portraiture. Her painting process is characterized by drawing an initial sketch in plein air, which is later transported and developed on canvas.
