Italian illustrator Gianni Benvenuti paints a charming fantasy scene. It's of an extreme closeup of a tiny crowned and winged Prince and Princess They are standing upright in a dandelion and set against a sky as blue as Robin's eggs and surrounded by other dandelions and flowers in proper space.
Commissioned for Wonderful Short Stories" Thumbelina by Hans Christian Andersen, published in 1957.
unsigned, unframed. The works looks better in person. The high-res photo brings out slight abrasions that are not visible to the human eye. The color is off a little bit. In reality the color is pure Robin's egg blue
