A charming 19th Century oil on tin, after the original painting, by the Dutch painter, Jan van Mieris (1660-1690). The scene shows a finely dressed doctor, taking the pulse of a sickly looking woman and examining a tincture in a bottle. The artist has inscribed "Miris" to the lower right corner and the painting has been presented in a 20th Century brushed gilt effect frame. On tin.
