The style of Ladislao Nocentini can be defined as a sort of Figurative Expressionism: his is pieces are, indeed, based on a solid and sure drawing trait in which is highlighted the structural exaltation of the subjects; on the meantime he forces his hand over Nature to obtain a major expressive firmness. So his figures are susceptible of deformations, expansions of the limbs, unnatural positions and the colours, too, are out of realism and have emotional and spiritual connotations. The space is completely out of the context and also in the background are the expressionist colours prevailing.
Ladislao Nocentini is a painter born in 1946 in Arezzo, a town in the centre of the Tuscany region. He started his artistic career in 1962, participating in several monographic and collective exhibitions, and he also worked for a very long time as a painting teacher in several Italian town.
