A stunning portrait of Emily Gertrude Lilias Muirhead, Grandmother of Gillian Kulane Tanner, awarded a George Medal for bravery in world war II and mother to Rear Admiral Gerald Charles Muirhead Gould (1889-1945). This beautiful oil on canvas was painted circa 1905 and is signed upper left. A beautiful flowing early 20th century portrait of a woman in her finery. In excellent condition and framed in its original frame. It is a fine example of an early 20th century portrait painting.
Signed top left.
Provenance. Family estate.
Condition. Oil on canvas, unframed image size is 36 inches by 28 inches. Good clean condition.
Framed size is 41 by 33 inches approx. Good condition.
