Steve Sangapore’s “New England, Summer #3” is a 9 x 12 inch oil painting on a panel from his “Scapes” series. This contemporary realist plein air landscape painting was painted on-site along the Charles River in Newton, MA. The painting features an old, abandoned railway bridge visible from only one side among New England's lush foliage. This landscape painting employs whimsical brush strokes which generates a strong sense of summer light and heat.
Steve Sangapore is a graduate of Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT, where he received a B.A. in studio art and graphic design. His interest in science and philosophy has been a driving force behind his latest work. Sangapore has been published in The Boston Globe, Art Business News, Creative Quarterly, Artscope, and E-Squared Magazine. Sangapore is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.
