In 2024 this remarkable artist will reach the age of 80 years. Still painting every day, and still painting in is own unique style. A style that reminds the paintings of the 17th Century. The largest part if his paintings contains still-lifes who seem to done in the 17th Century. Alltough, the combinations in these still-lifes make sure that they're done now.
His house looks like a museum. All bowls, vases, cans, silver, etc. from all parts of the world he uses for his stilllifes are part of his beautiful collection around his studio and farm where he lives.
In this still life you can see his virtuosity and beautiful use of color, brushstrokes and composition.
