About the Item
Dmitry Yuzefovich’s realistic nostalgic oil paintings capture a moment in time. Rich in detail, this composition includes a worn, red leather office chair, an old-fashioned green dial-up phone, a set of keys, an umbrella, a brown paper lunch bag and two paper coffee cups. The colour palette is warm—the backdrop is a dilapidated plaster wall, a few numbers and words scattered across it. Memorable.

Born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, he obtained a BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel in 2000 and an MFA in 2005. He moved to Canada with his family in 2015 and lives in Nova Scotia. Yuzefovich has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. His paintings have been collected in Israel, Canada, the US, England and Europe.
