Dirk Pieter Braam was born in The Hague in 1908.
He studied at the Art Academy in Antwerp and was a student of Isidore Opsomer and Henk van Leeuwen. He worked in Alphen aan de Rijn, The Hague from 1925, in Antwerp from 1937-1941 and later again in The Hague from 1941-1986.
Braam is best known for its unique, individual and typical style
paintings and drawings. Most of them are still lifes, flowers and landscapes.
He was a member of the Pulchri Studio in The Hague from 1941 to 1986.
Dirk Pieter Braam died in 1986 in The Hague.
