In this beautiful oil on canvas Giovanni Perna was inspired by the paintings of the Spanish painter of Dutch origin Juan van der Hamen, famous for his production of still lifes In particular, this painting depicts an elegant terracotta fruit bowl with grapes, pomegranates and pears, a silver plate with a cut lemon. The objects represented are masterfully rendered with a science of the distribution of colors, shadows, reflections and lights that make Giovanni Perna a painter of great sensitivity.
