About the Item
Bouquet of Roses.
Large oil on canvas, signed lower right, title on verso.
Born in 1952, Jean-Pierre Mocci arrived in Provence at the age of 8. Self-taught artist, he was interested in the visual arts from a very young age.
Participating in many craft fairs, he exhibits paintings and art crafts. He is a complete artist who can be described as a "jack of all trades": oil paintings, watercolors, sculptures, bronzes and ceramics.
But it is by painting his adopted Provence that Jean Pierre Mocci touches the hearts of art lovers. A colorist at heart, he finds inspiration in the landscapes that surround him.
From Sainte Victoire to Baux de Provence, it offers its light-filled perception of fields of lavender, sunflowers and poppies.
His artistic stroll also passes through the Camargue where he captures bulls and horses in the vast swamp. He also enjoys painting there the Arlésiennes, emblematic figures of this Provence that he loves so much.
He even opens the door to his garden, where he offers his audience a part of his privacy ...
