Artist Jose H. Alvarenga presents a still life of a vintage angel figurine. "On this piece, I wanted to represent the simplicity of giving," says Jose. "It's not the value but the intention that counts." The ornament, standing on top of a small box wrapped in newspaper, represents this principle. It carries deep meaning despite being simple and inexpensive. The angel holds a dove on her hands ready to let it go and give it the gift of freedom.
