About the Item
With a contemporary perspective on landscape painting and inspired by paintings created by old masters, German artist Katharina Husslein paints in a representational manner to capture lively bouquets and saturated idyllic landscapes. Her passion for natural beauty is seen in her work as she transforms vistas familiar and rare into stunning interpretations of bold color, playful rhythms, and emotional impact.
Within her impressionist landscape paintings, her experiences abroad truly come to light. These textural and abstract paintings perfectly capture the vibrancy and movement included in a coastal sunset. This series differs from Husslein’s more controlled and smoother still life floral series which derives a more direct inspiration from art history and flower photography.
This one-of-a-kind oil painting on canvas measures 39 inches high by 51 inches wide. It is signed by Husslein on the back. The painting is ready to hang and includes professional wiring for easy installation. The sides are painted as a continuation of the front and it does not require framing. Born in Wertheim, Germany, Husslein grew up in a quaint village surrounded by luscious hills and flowing rivers. To grow her practice and widen her perspective, she left Germany to study art in London, UK. As part of her studies, she lived in Los Angeles, New York, and Australia. Now based in Munich, Germany, Husslein has exhibited her artworks across Europe, gaining collectors internationally. Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles has exhibited her original paintings since 2022.
