Sandor Mohi (Mohy)Sandor Mohy, "Cubist Still Life"
About the Item
Sandor Mohi (1902 - 2001) was a very widely-listed Hungarian painter, known primarily for his Cubist works such as this fine example. His brilliant use of color and casual, sweeping brushstrokes make his paintings unique. He often painted on thick cardboard, as here (I have shot a pic of the back, which is covered with test strokes), and always signed his name "MO" as you see here (the signature and style both check out as authentic - though I always give a lifetime guarantee on authenticity at any rate).
