Two, large, stunningly painted, left and right, oil-on canvas, Italian paintings of the Emperor's Vespasian and Julius Caesar, with their names inscribed on the lower left hand corners of each. Each figure mounted on horseback in full parade regalia. Beautiful, detailed, dramatic and rendered with a sure hand.
Theses pieces hail from an important, private collection in Milan where they part of the estate for over a century.
