About the Item
Street Photographer Mitchell Funk grabs a taxi moment in front of Grand Central Station. The image communicates the spirit of wintery New York, with skies filled with falling snow. It's also a nod to Abstract Expressionism drip painting. Highlighted snowflakes take on the fluid viscosity of splattering, dripping paint that plummets from the sky in an all-over pattern - while the whole composition is bundled up in a glowing gold color.
