Albert Watson has photographed a series of Monkey Portraits, and 'Monkey with Mask' is an iconic example. The black and white image depicts a monkey's face and shoulders. It's eyes are covered by a golden Mask as it looks right into the camera, seemingly smirking at the viewer.
The strong graphic visual of the image makes for an iconic and easily recognizable piece.
From the iconic Hitchcock series to extravagant shoots for Iris van Herpen, the British star photographer is one of the founding fathers of fine art photography.
