Archival pigment print Printed on 20 x 24 inch paper From an edition of 15 Also available in alternative sizes Bob Willoughby is best-loved for his photojournalistic motion picture stills capturing famous faces included Audrey Hepburn, and Frank Sinatra, demonstrating an ability to capture film stars in unguarded moments of repose and vulnerability. Between 1948 and 1954, Willoughby also shot iconic moments of US Jazz history. In 1955 Edward Steichen selected one of Willoughby's images of a screaming female audience to be included in the landmark 1955 exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, The Family of Man. Willoughby's photographs are now held in major collections worldwide including those of the National Portrait Gallery, Washington DC, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the National Portrait Gallery, London, Tate, London and the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris. The Bob Willoughby Photo Archive Estate Prints are printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta Satin 300gsm paper. Every print is signed by Christopher Willoughby, as executor of the Willoughby estate, inscribed with title, numbered and stamped with the photographer's estate copyright ink stamp on the reverse.
