From “Painted Poetry” series:
“Painted Poetry” is a collection of 40 photographs created over 4 years and was my first step into conceptual photography.
They say a photo is worth 1000 words… but what if you could choose just a few? I have always loved writing. Longer even, than my love for photography. So the idea was simple, take fragments of my writing and create meaningful images around them. And what better way to do it than to turn the human body into a canvas and paint those words directly onto my subjects?
These images are personal, they are powerful, and they are pure. As raw as the emotions they portray. I hope you find yourself somewhere in this Painted Poetry."

Brendan North is a fine art photographer based in Los Angeles. Having built a social media presence of nearly 1 million people, Brendan is one of the most recognized photographers in the world. He specializes in portraiture and conceptual photography.
Brendan has created a signature style that captures the glamorous side of society while offering commentary on issues at the same time. He believes that the future of photography lies with the artists who truly have something to say.
